The Bill Dwight Campaign 2011

This summer/fall ol’ Standard Design got into the political game a little, working on the branding & graphics for Bill Dwight’s City Councilor At-Large campaign (Northampton, Mass.). The simple message of “Vote BILL!” and the typographic treatment came to me pretty quickly, and I had a nerdy-graphic-designer good time adapting it to all of the campaign’s various promotional print and web needs. It was great fun to breathe a little life into the normally dull graphics of local politics. I tried to stick in as much crooked type, grit, fake bad trapping, and text bleeding off the edges as I could. I think it all came together quite nicely. It’s been very satisfying to see my graphic work on front lawns all over town. UPDATE: He won.
Take a look at the campaign graphics…
